Study Guide to George G. M. James’s Stolen Legacy
This is an original companion, not a reprint. It presumes you have your own copy of Stolen Legacy by George G. M. James and walks beside it chapter by chapter. Nothing here confers initiation, degree, or membership in the Craft of Amen Ra. Study is open to the Outer Court; the door to formal petition is a separate path.
The Craft of Amen Ra is an independent initiatic order and religious-educational body in the Kemetic Mystery tradition. It is not affiliated with, chartered by, or claiming recognition from any Masonic Grand Lodge or Prince Hall body. Rooted in the scholarship of Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan (1918–2015).
How to use this guide
Read, sit, write, build
Read
Work through the assigned chapter or section in the 1992 AWP edition. Note James’s claims and the evidence he offers.
Sit with Ma'at
Take one Declaration of Ma'at for the week. Read it aloud, then hold it in silence before the discussion begins.
Write the Examination
Respond to the study questions in a notebook kept only for this work. The writing is for you, not for grading.
The Building
Carry one practice into ordinary life — a conversation, a habit, a small act — so the text does not stay theoretical.
Each week’s work contains: a reading assignment, a focus principle, an Examination of no more than one page, and a Building to carry into daily life. The guide keeps its questions close to the text; it does not ask you to believe James uncritically, but to read him carefully and test his evidence.
