What Petitioning Means

A petition is a request to be taught. It is not an application for status, and it obligates you to study rather than entitling you to a title.

The Outer Court is the first of the three courts of the temple. You are received there as a seeker of Kemet's (ancient Egypt's) initiatic tradition, given the first-degree studies, and known to the Order by name.

Brothers and Sisters petition on equal terms. What is asked of you is age, honesty, a commitment to Ma'at, and the willingness to finish what you begin.

  1. 01

    Petition

Submit the form. Every petition is read.

  2. 02

    Interview

A Warden contacts you within seven days for a conversation, not an examination.

  3. 03

    Enrollment

Founding Initiate enrollment opens the 1° curriculum to you.

  4. 04

    Cohort

You are placed in the next online initiation cohort of the Outer Court.

Not ready to petition? Sit in the House of Shu first — our free weekly study circle. Reserve a seat.

The Petition

Are you now or formerly a member of any Masonic or initiatic body?
Do you affirm belief in the Divine Source — Amen, the Hidden One?

Petitions are reviewed by the Wardens' office and notified to learn@craftofamenra.com.

The Craft of Amen Ra is an independent initiatic order and religious-educational body in the Kemetic Mystery tradition. It is not affiliated with, chartered by, or claiming recognition from any Masonic Grand Lodge or Prince Hall body. Rooted in the scholarship of Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan (1918–2015).
